JPEG does not support transparency; transparent areas will use a white background.
A post image at 1600×900 px (16:9) displays fully in the timeline without automatic cropping, and a 1500×500 px header keeps your profile picture from covering important parts of the banner.
| Use | Size | Ratio |
|---|---|---|
| Post image | 1600×900 px | 16:9 |
| Profile header | 1500×500 px | 3:1 |
| Profile picture | 400×400 px | 1:1 |
This tool exports post images at 1600×900 px (16:9). That proportion shows fully in the timeline preview without an automatic crop.
1500×500 px, a 3:1 proportion. Because the profile picture overlaps part of the header, keep important elements away from the left side and the bottom edge.
400×400 px, square. X shows it as a circle, so center the face or logo.
Cropping and resizing happen in your browser. PNG export is lossless; JPG is smaller but uses standard JPEG compression. If a photo is smaller than the target size, enlarging it can look soft.
X fits images to 16:9 in the preview. Posting directly in that ratio avoids unexpected crops.
400×400 px minimum; the platform displays it in a circular format.
